VLC 1.0.0 SuperDeb (NEW/UPDATED)

July 12, 2009

OK people, my previous VLC SuperDeb for Ubuntu 9.04 and Super OS did not worked on some systems, so I spent the last few days trying to make a proper installer, and now I finally made it!

Changes from the old version:
-FIXED: If an older version of VLC was instaled, the new version would fail to open
-FIXED: On Ubuntu systems with some QT packages, the installer would ask to remove that QT packages
-NEW: The installer now includes an option to install libdvdcss (required to play most commercial DVDs)
-NEW: Simplified interface (to make it easier to install the program)

If you had installed the old SuperDeb, you can simply install this new one “on top” of that.

The reasons why the previous installer had some issues are explained in the other post.

As usual, please report any issues you find.

Enjoy!
