VLC 1.0.0 SuperDeb installer
July 09, 2009
VLC 1.0.0 out! time to upgrade!
To make upgrade easy for Ubuntu and Super OS users, just made a “SuperDeb“. It is like a normal deb, but it includes all the dependencies already in one package + the option to install the official VLC repository (for easier future updates)
Grab it here: http://hacktolive.org/wiki/SuperDebs
Enjoy!
Note: You need to RUNZ Framework to run this
UPDATE:
This installer had some issues on some systems, this was because:
-Is was necessary to upgrade/update the system before (or after) installing the new VLC
-The SuperDeb was missing some .deb packages, required for SOME systems
All this issues are now fixed and the links were already updated. Sorry for this, but this package was very complex. The new installer also has new features, read more about it in the next post.
