You dont include gnome-do...

Whats wrong with you?

hacktolive says:
You can just install it on your PC... however... I might create a super-deb for it in the future...

Cant figure out why but as long as it works. Had super 8.10 done a fresh install still using the ext3. Sorry about the problem must inform you your dealing with a guy that is older than dirt.

Now would like to make a donation and prefer not using a credit card.Maybe you could email me and I can forward it that way.

downloaded the superOS 3 times burned 3 dvd at slow speed ran a check on the disk and all 3 had 1 file missing or corrupt.

Still tried to installed it would not go pass the partition table.

Bill

hacktolive says:
Thanks for reporting that, the "1 file missing or corrupt" happens because i forgot to update the md5sum.txt file. That file "missing or currupt" is a non-system file (autorun.inf) - That problem will be fixed on the next release.
Regarding the rest, Ubuntu is probably not compatible with your computer (or just not compatible with your HDD?), because I just installed SuperOS on VirtualBox and did a wubi install and it worked fine.
Try this:
*Try creating a Live USB (with cd2usb or usb-creator)
*Install on VirtualBox (if it works, then it is a problem with your computer)
*Try the original Ubuntu 9.04 (if it works, please report it so I can investigate further)

Good luck

Apologies if this was previously covered, but would you make it possible to put out a Virtualbox version of SuperOS (*.vdi) anytime soon? TIA.

Also, did you do any preconfiguration on SuperOS to allow broadcomm wifi drivers to work properly? (When the kernel changed to the new generic wifi stack, the B43 drivers weren't available until semi-recently (kernel 2.4.26.x?). Unfortunately, it does appear to be a popular wifi card.

hacktolive says:
No need to apologize! I am working on a VirtualBox version, should be out in a few days. Also, I have done no modifications regarding any drivers.
